Posture Alignment Therapy - Improved Performance!

Athletic Performance is Determined by Structural Integrity

Athletic performance is determined by a persons ability to retain structural integrity even under stress.  Physical performance does not tolerate dysfunction. A functional body is able to tolerate the most strenuous activities.

Motor skill deficiencies that plaque recreational and professional athletes are manifestations of dysfunctions that can be corrected.  The human body is built for motion.  Agility, coordination, speed, power and reaction time comes from functional training and conditioning.

Athletic Performance is a Result of Training Functionally

Most athletes train sport specifically not functionally. Gains made when training functionally actually enhance the individual's structural integrity needed to repeat the activity

Dysfunctional Individual will Eventually Experience Injury

This includes endurance sports as well as power activities that may only last moments. An individual with dysfunctions may be able to produce an amount of force that resembles strength, however the dysfunctional individual will eventually experience injury no matter how strong he or she appears.

Dysfunction can be created by a lack of strength, power, and balance individually or as a group. If the structure cannot perform the movement even if you are paying attention to form - the function of the individual must be addressed before trying to strengthen the structure.

Improve Overall Function

Training their bodies by using different environments, they create a more functional frame. Once they are ready they take their function to their competition. They are not training toward injury or dysfunction like most athletes nowadays who train sport specifically. They are training to improve their overall function which supports whatever sports they choose.

Lose Flexibility and joints Lose their Functional Capacity

Flexibility does require muscle involvement, however like strength it is a product of the function of the body. Muscles cross over joints, work in pairs, groups and carry out multiple functions. If the joints lose their functional capacity, some of the muscles can lose there ability to lengthen or contract.

Body's Design  Restored by functional Exercises

The body always remembers its design memory, so when you start changing the stimulus with exercises the body has no choice, it changes. The goal is to allow the body to return to its birthright, its design template, and it can because it never forgets the memory. All we're doing is providing the necessary stimulus by doing the simple exercises.
